Class description: Many people agree that we now face systemic global crisis and must adopt an alternative to business as usual. Advocates have long put PROUT forward to meet this challenge. Yet other alternatives have emerged and gained support, including movements for degrowth, a green new deal, the red deal, democratic socialism, and green capitalism, to name the most prominent. In this session we will distinguish some of the key features of these various approaches and how they compare with PROUT in addressing the most important problems of the day.
